Iris Athena Seaman (she/her) is a theater maker and teaching artist based in Philadelphia, PA. She has an MFA in Devised Performance from The University of the Arts / Pig Iron School and a BA in Theater from Drake University. This summer she helped found Spark Theatrics, a new venture to bring improvising workshops and devised theater to new audiences around the country. She performs original comedic theater, including work at Dixon Place and the Barnes Foundation. In addition to her own workshops, she has taught as a guest artist at Circadium School of Contemporary Circus, Swarthmore College, and University of the Arts . Her pedagogy specializes in bringing a wide range of creative makers into a unified physical theater practice.
